Refund & Cancellation Policy
ShotFlick — operated by Comfort Earning Production
Effective date: 16 September 2026
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Notice of change: effective from 5 October 2026, payments are not refunded in money (section 4). Payments made before 5 October 2026 keep the earlier rule: a 100% money refund if no Token has been used since that payment and you ask within 7 days of paying.
1. The short version
If an edit fails, your Tokens come back to your wallet. Payments are not refunded in money.
- A failed edit or a wrong deduction is refunded as Tokens to your ShotFlick wallet, never as money. Use those Tokens on your next edit.
- Payments are not refunded in money (effective from 5 October 2026). Billing errors are always refunded to the original payment method (see section 4).
- We keep a record of activity on every account. If our records show misuse, the refund can be refused (see section 5).
2. How Tokens are charged
- When you submit a video, the required Tokens are placed on hold — not yet deducted.
- If the job completes and an output video is made available to you, the held Tokens are deducted.
- If the job fails, times out, or is cancelled by our system, the hold is released in full and the Tokens return to your wallet.
You can see every Token movement in your wallet history.
A job is considered "delivered" once an output file is made available for download in your account — whether or not you actually download it. Please download your output within 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted.
3. Refunds to your wallet (Tokens)
In these cases the Tokens go back to your ShotFlick wallet. They are not paid out as money:
- Processing failed for a technical reason on our side.
- A job got stuck, timed out, or never produced an output.
- Tokens were deducted by mistake for an edit. The same amount is added back to your wallet, for you to use on another edit.
4. Money refunds
Effective from 5 October 2026: Payments are not refunded in money; failed edits and wrong deductions are refunded as Tokens.
- Billing errors are always put right: a duplicate charge for one payment, or a payment for which Tokens were never credited, is refunded to the original payment method.
- Payments made before 5 October 2026 keep the earlier rule: a 100% money refund if no Token has been used since that payment and you ask within 7 days of paying. You must contact us at support@shotflick.com; we check your account records.
5. Suspicious activity
Our team keeps a record of the activity on every account: uploads, trims, retries, tool use and every job. If these records show suspicious activity, the fault is treated as yours, not ours, and a money refund can be refused. For example:
- Retrying the same video again and again.
- Trimming a video or using our tools on it in any way, and then going back or leaving before the render, so that the project fails.
- Any other pattern that uses the service while trying to avoid paying for it.
What is never refunded in money
| Case | Why |
|---|---|
| Tokens already used, in whole or in part, after a payment | Compute and AI costs were already incurred and paid by us to third parties |
| A failed edit or a wrong deduction | Made good as Tokens in your wallet (section 3) |
| You are unhappy with the creative or stylistic result | Output is generated automatically; taste and style are subjective and are not a defect |
| Wrong file, wrong settings, or wrong input uploaded by you | The system processed exactly what was submitted |
| You did not download the output before it expired | The output was delivered and available for 30 days |
| Any amount paid to a third-party app store | Those purchases are governed by that store's own refund policy (see section 6) |
Tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, cannot be resold, and cannot be exchanged for money, except for the billing-error refunds and the earlier rule for payments made before 5 October 2026 (section 4).
6. Purchases made through app stores
If you bought Tokens inside our mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store, that transaction is handled by the store, not by us. Refund requests for those purchases must be made to Google or Apple under their own refund policies. We cannot issue, reverse, or influence store refunds.
Tokens purchased on our website are handled directly by us under this policy.
7. How to request a money refund
Email support@shotflick.com for a billing error, or within 7 days of a payment made before 5 October 2026, with:
- The email address on your account
- The payment reference / order ID
- A short note on the billing error (or, for a payment made before 5 October 2026, that no Token has been used since that payment)
We check your account records and reply within 3 business days. Approved money refunds are sent back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Payment gateway fees on the original transaction are borne by us, not deducted from your refund.
8. Plans and cancellation
Plans are paid monthly and run for 30 days. Nothing is charged automatically, so there is nothing to cancel: if you do not buy the plan again, it simply ends, and its unused Tokens end with it. If you buy a plan again before it ends, your unused Tokens move to the new plan. Ending Tokens are not refunded as money.
9. Goodwill
Nothing here limits us from issuing a refund or bonus Tokens voluntarily in a situation we consider genuinely unfair. Doing so once does not create an obligation to do it again.
